From the Directors

In planning an occasional meeting in the interest of one or more of the activities of the church it has been found that the progress of Christian Science in the local field and the incentive of the members are increased if the members themselves have an active part in the program.

At times a branch church may wish to invite an experienced Christian Scientist from a neighboring church to address its members. The Mother Church has found it advisable to request its members to confine acceptance of invitations to address church memberships to an area within twenty-five miles from the limits of the city or town wherein the speaker holds branch church membership, and to accept not more than two such invitations during a calendar year.

Since each branch church must demonstrate its own growth, these meetings should be limited in attendance to the membership concerned. It is well to remember that meetings of this kind, if held too frequently, may become routine rather than inspirational.
