Metaphysical Support for a Lecture
A Christian Science lecture is much more than the work of the individual who gives it. It is the collective effort of the lecturer and the members of the church or society or college organization presenting the lecture. And this collective effort is the expression, or action, of the law of God.
In his Sermon on the Mount, Christ Jesus taught the power of right thinking, and he made it plain what kind of thinking is right. He said (Matt. 5:8), "Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God." And he demonstrated the power of his own pure consciousness of God as Father and of man as the son of God by healing the sick and raising the dead.
Mrs. Eddy discovered and revealed the Science that Jesus taught. And she defines it in "Rudimental Divine Science" (p. 1) thus: "As the law of God, the law of good, interpreting and demonstrating the divine Principle and rule of universal harmony."
