Debbie Attends a Lecture
[Of Special Interest to Children]
Debbie was a Christian Scientist. In fact, she had been attending Sunday School for several years. But she had never gone to a Christian Science lecture. Her mother and father weren't certain that she could be still that long.
But one day a lecturer was a guest in their home. He was going to give a lecture that very evening, and he began talking to Debbie about the lecture. He took it for granted that she was going.
Debbie told him that she didn't go to lectures, because she was too little; but he assured her that if she was big enough to go to Sunday School, then she was big enough to go to the lecture. Mother quickly gave her permission; so Debbie took an extra long nap that afternoon in preparation.
