Benefits from a Christian Science Lecture
When one is inspired to attend a Christian Science lecture, he may entertain hope of finding answers to questions like these: 1. Is Christian Science compatible with this age? 2. What is the Christian Scientist's attitude toward Mary Baker Eddy? 3. Have Christian Scientists the same problems—mental, physical, moral—as other people? 4. Does Christian Science clarify contradictory statements one hears and reads of God's nature? 5. Can Christian Science assure one of hope in God, of His present healing, redemptive power, available through prayer?
Questions like these and many others may come to one as they did to me as I prepared to attend my first Christian Science lecture. The message far surpassed my expectations. Many questions relating to Spirit, God, and the spiritual realm, including individual man, were to my deep satisfaction logically and scientifically answered.
God was defined according to the inspired Word of the Bible: as infinite Life, immutable Truth, unchanging Love. How vividly I recall my amazement when the speaker quoted from the Scriptures (Hab. 1:13), "Thou art of purer eyes than to behold evil, and canst not look on iniquity"!
