Some fourteen years ago a kind...
Some fourteen years ago a kind neighbor rang at my door. "I felt led to ring your doorbell," she said, and she presented me with Christian Science at a time when I had reached the very depth of despair and could see no human way to go forward. I had been left with two young boys, who looked to me for comfort and support when I felt I had lost all comfort and support myself, and my grief made me feel there was no point in going on.
However, as this neighbor unfolded some of the truths of Christian Science the first rays of hope penetrated my darkened consciousness, and I began to drink in the truth in great and thirsty gulps and immediately to put it into practice. From then to now, Science has been a strong staff upon which I have leaned heavily, and it has never failed me.
