On page 14 of the Christian Science textbook. Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, is this remarkable statement: "Become conscious for a single moment that Life and intelligence are purely spiritual.—neither in nor of matter,—and the body will then utter no complaints. If suffering from a belief in sickness, you will find yourself suddenly well." The proof that Christian Science healing can be sudden and permanent first came to me as a teen-ager, when I found myself covered with hives. A practitioner had been called to the house, and while he was speaking to me of spiritual truths, I could see the evidence of that malady disappear, and it has never returned.

Since that time, I have witnessed main immediate healings through Christian Science treatment, One morning I awakened with great pressure and pain at the base of my spine. I was unable to straighten up, and walking was difficult. A practitioner answered my call for help with these words: "A spiritual idea has not a single element of error, and this truth removes properly whatever is offensive" (ibid., p. 463). I felt the pressure and pain lift at once. Within an hour I was attending to several errands in the shopping district and was free.

Christian Science has been the joy of my life. It has healed and blessed not only me but also everyone else in my family.
