It is with deep gratitude this testimony is submitted. For many years I have enjoyed the health, happiness, and harmony which the revelation of Christian Science brings to those who earnestly endeavor to practice its teachings. There came a time when its great truths were put to the test and not found wanting.

One Sunday evening, while visiting a friend's house, I became quite faint and a few hours later experienced vomiting and hemorrhaging. Although this presented a frightening appearance to material sense, I experienced no pain or fear. I was sure that God is man's Life and the law of his being. There was a sense of physical weakness which necessitated my remaining at home from work for some days.

My wife had telephoned a practitioner immediately, who helped us both with her prayers. During the period I was absent from work I spent many hours studying the weekly Lesson-Sermons, given us in the Quarterly. Referring to Jesus' raising of Lazarus, Mrs. Eddy asks (Science and Health, pp. 493, 494), "Who dares to doubt this consummate test of the power and willingness of divine Mind to hold man forever intact in his perfect state, and to govern man's entire action?" I rejoiced in the consciousness of "the power and willingness of" God while the healing was taking place.
