In 1952 my first testimony was published in the Sentinel. I feel that it is time to write another to show my deep gratitude to God for Christ Jesus, for Mrs. Eddy, and for the great good that has accrued to me.
One evening, a number of years ago, I sat reading with my pet cat on my lap. She was sound asleep when I became uncomfortably warm. Lest I disturb her, I leaned far over the arm of my chair to turn the gas lower. When I righted my position, I felt a sharp twinge in the region of the heart, but thought nothing of it.
However, the following morning I was painfully reminded of the incident. For more than a week I worked prayerfully to overcome the condition, but the pain grew steadily worse. One morning, when I tried to use the carpet sweeper, I could not do so.
