Our Mother, God

Each of us has a Mother, who is always loving, always with us, and who is always pleased with us. God is that Mother.

Christian Science shows us how to find God as our true Mother and how to know ourselves as really God's spiritual children, expressing His perfection. We get to know God somewhat as we get to know someone at school: by learning what His nature is, and what He does.

The Bible and also Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy describe God in many ways: as Father, Mother; as Life, living forever; as Truth, including all that is spiritually real; as Love, nestling its children; as Principle, creating children good and perfect; as Soul, crowning each child with beauty and purity; as Spirit, supplying each child with joy; as Mind, delighting in each child.
