A story that has never lost its appeal is found in the Bible, in the book of II Kings. It is the story of a Shunammite woman's great faith in God's power expressed through one of the prophets. The prophets played an important part in the life of the Hebrew people. The word "prophet" meant to them one who announces or brings a message from God.
