I should like to express gratitude...
I should like to express gratitude for the many blessings which have unfolded to me since I began the earnest study and application of Christian Science. I am grateful for Christ Jesus' ministry, for his immortal Sermon on the Mount, and for the Lord's Prayer.
Awakening one night, I found my body immovable. Another symptom was a roaring sound which I could hear. Being alone in the house, without a telephone, I knew I must put into practice what I had been learning of Christian Science. The words, "Adorable One," came to my thought, and I knew they were Mrs. Eddy's interpretation of the phrase, "Hallowed be thy name" (Matt. 6:9), from the Lord's Prayer. So I went through the Lord's Prayer and the spiritual interpretation of it, found on pages 16 and 17 of Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy. I reached this part:
"And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil;
