I remember having my first healing...
I remember having my first healing in Christian Science when I was a child of six. It was that of a headache. Using the words of "the scientific statement of being," I prayed, and instantly the healing became complete. As the statement says (Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, p. 468): "Spirit is God, and man is His image and likeness. Therefore man is not material; he is spiritual." How happy I was that God had heard me! And indeed He has heard me many times through the years. For all the blessings I have had, and particularly for the loving' encouragement of my parents in helping me to use Christian Science in my daily life, I am grateful.
Three years ago I became very ill with influenza. One night I cried out in alarm; I was afraid that I would never recover from the illness. My husband called a practitioner for me, and within the hour the fear had vanished. But the fever persisted. I prayed earnestly to realize that the truth of God is the truth of His reflection, man.
