I was brought up as an orthodox...

I was brought up as an orthodox Jewess. When I began to study Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy and to attend a Christian Science church I had quite a struggle at first with my old beliefs, but I soon learned that in truth "there is neither Jew nor Greek" (Gal. 3:28), but just spiritual man.

I had a healing not long ago which proved to me that man is never alone. I sustained such a severe injury that I was not able to move. I started to ponder spiritual truths, and I realized at that moment that man is completely spiritual and never separated from his Father-Mother God. I prayed for about thirty minutes until I was able to move. Then I decided to call a practitioner to support me. She assured me that she would begin to give me treatment immediately, and I went to bed. I slept on and off during the night, and every time I got up I prayerfully declared man's inseparability from God.

I did not ask the practitioner to continue working for me, but thought I would work the problem out with the Father. Two statements from Science and Health were very helpful to me. One reads (p. 385), "Whatever it is your duty to do, you can do without harm to yourself." The other is on pages 214 and 215 and tells us that "Spirit's senses are without pain, and they are forever at peace."
