At the time I was led to Christian Science many years ago, I had turned away from the religion which I had professed since birth, for I could not believe in a God who sent evil to men. It was at this time that a dear relative gave me a copy of Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy. I knew nothing about the healing efficacy of the truths contained in this wonderful book.

However, while I was reading the first paragraph a great sense of joy and inspiration came over me. I know now that it came through the spirit of God, which is revealed to us in the textbook. The continuing spiritual uplift I experienced made me forget completely a stomach disorder which had troubled me from earliest childhood. This difficulty never appeared again. With its unpleasant accompanying symptoms, it vanished completely.

During the first weeks of my study, our three children were healed of chronic bad colds.
