Adoring God
To adore God is to put Him first in all of our thoughts, to love Him deeply, to give willingly in His service all that we have to give. If we truly adore God, we see in every human problem an opportunity to come closer to Him and to express His magnificent qualities. If we adore God, we love these opportunities; we love every step in the process of solving each problem.
If we love God, we must enjoy every moment of every day, because every moment in human experience is made of opportunities to express our love for God.
There may seem to be intermingled with these opportunities many thoughts of material self-hood. And there would seem to be many demands being made on that selfhood. But such thoughts are the chaff; our thoughts of God are the wheat. On page 466 of Science and Health, Mrs. Eddy writes, "The Science of Christianity comes with fan in hand to separate the chaff from the wheat." Because the qualities of Truth are real, the qualities of mortal mind are unreal, and they can be removed through an understanding of Truth as taught in Christian Science.
