Readiness to Receive
"One's worthiness is determined daily and hourly"
One sometimes thinks that with God's help one can alter circumstances or change personalities to one's advantage. The tendency is to work on conditions exterior to oneself to achieve this change. Much less frequently is it seen that the need is to look within for the betterment of any condition. A not uncommon attitude is to plead with God to mold His ways to suit a preconceived view of how things should work out; whereas all the while what is needed is that one be ready for God's plan and purpose to operate in his affairs.
