Church Dedications
Daily Sun
Miami Beach, Florida (First Church).
First Church of Christ, Scientist, Miami Beach, will dedicate its beautiful new edifice at Pine Drive and 40th St., on Sunday. Dedicatory services will be held at 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. The dignified white structure of modernized colonial design has a graceful steeple and spire, and fluted pillars line the entrance way. On the inside the white rostrum is contrasted with the blue walls and Carpets.
Ground was broken in February, 1959, and the first church service in the edifice was held on Thanksgiving morning of the same year.
