Patterns for Living
[Of Special Interest to Children]
Tommy is a Christian Scientist, and he is also a cub scout. One day he came running into his mother's sewing room, his face flushed. His mother was cutting some cloth on the big table. But she laid down the scissors and sat down in a rocking chair and listened to him "I hate that Johnny," he said. "We had a fight at cub meeting. I'm never going to speak to him again."
Tommy's mother kept still. He saw that she looked as she often did when she was listening and waiting for God to show her the way to solve a problem.
"What have you been doing?" he asked at last.
