My heart is filled with joy for the happy life that Christian Science has unfolded to me. It is such a different one from that which mortal mind outlined for me some years ago.

I was very unhappy then, and the problems facing me were overwhelming. I was left with two very young children to care for, and I had no home, no car, and was obligated to pay many debts which were not of my own making. Although I was working at the time, my income did not meet even the demands of current expenses.

As a child I had attended a Christian Science Sunday School, but I was not an active student. However, in desperation I visited a Christian Science practitioner, who said she would help me through prayer. Immediately everything began to untangle itself. A home was established, another person assumed the financial indebtedness, a car was lent to me, my salary was increased, and the loving companionship of my mother graced our home. I was learning something of God and His care. Soon I realized I need not dread waking in the morning to face the problems of the day, but I could be happy knowing that, as a hymn says (Christian Science Hymnal, No. 342),
