About ten years ago I became...
About ten years ago I became aware that there was something the matter with my throat. As the months went on, the condition grew worse until one morning I became very much alarmed, for I could not speak above a whisper, and there appeared to be something in my throat that was making it very difficult for me to breathe normally.
I asked a Christian Science practitioner to help me in my prayerful work. Treatment was given immediately, and I was relieved a great deal. During that week I read from the Bible, from Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, and from her other writings. I had to call the practitioner for spiritual support many times during this trial.
One morning I was very ill. I called the practitioner, and she kept assuring me that God is man's Life and that man is actually always perfect. She declared that in divine Mind nothing had changed and that God, good, is the only power.
