RADIO PROGRAM No. 442 - Learning to Get Along with Others

SPEAKER: We hear so much these days of the importance of learning to get along with others, learning to live in harmony in our homes, in our neighborhood, in our work, and in our world. Our guest has found the basis for establishing harmonious relationships with others. He's Delos Johnson, of Cleveland, Ohio.

Please tell us how you've solved problems of human relationships in business, Mr. Johnson.

MR. JOHNSON: Well, I remember particularly an experience I had when I was doing engineering designing. There was a chap at a table right near mine, and it seemed as though everything he did aggravated me. He was noisy and told off-color stories, anything to attract attention to himself. I'm a nonsmoker; and he was a chain smoker, so there was a big blue cloud of smoke around all the time. It was just a collection of little annoyances you sometimes find in offices.
