I am deeply grateful to God for having been led to Christian Science. Up to that time, each year in spring and autumn I suffered from a throat disease. This same illness also befell other members of the family.

Finally the condition, accompanied by fear, became so aggravated that in 1937 I had to be sent to a hospital. Here the disease was diagnosed as a severe form of angina. Blood poisoning developed throughout my body. I was completely paralyzed and was given up by the doctors.

My husband's sister was interested in Christian Science and knew of the healings effected by this religion. She counseled my husband to ask a practitioner for help through prayer. We immediately agreed to have such help, and my sister-in-law went to see a practitioner without delay. The latter began to pray for me immediately, all medical treatment having been discontinued as of no avail.
