The Protective Power of Prayer

The first chapter of Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy is entitled "Prayer" and covers many aspects of this subject. On page 7 Mrs. Eddy writes: "God is not influenced by man. The 'divine ear' is not an auditory nerve, It is the all-hearing and all-knowing Mind, to whom each need of man is always known and by whom it will be supplied." We learn in Christian Science that when protection is the need, that need is met when we pray aright.
