Spiritual Activity Determines Success
"The footsteps of thought leading to the establishment of our new Reading Room are so well defined that it is hoped by sharing them others will receive inspiration and encouragement," writes a librarian.
"Our former Reading Room was set up every week in part of the Sunday School area of the church. It gave a dark appearance, and it was not easily accessible to the public.
"Our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, writes on page 503 of 'Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures': 'Divine Science, the Word of God, saith to the darkness upon the face of error, "God is All-in-all," and the light of ever-present Love illumines the universe.' The Reading Room staff, together with the members of the Reading Room committee, working with the thought that Love illumines the way, devoted themselves to supporting the Reading Room from this standpoint.
