Although I was reared in the Christian Science Sunday School, I did not make the truths I learned there my own until my college years. I had always enjoyed attending the Sunday School, but had yielded to the temptation to drink and smoke occasionally while away at camp during my high school years.

It was not until I had searched in vain for answers to many questions that I learned how much I loved and needed Science. During this period of searching I considered myself at one time an agnostic and later an atheist. Then, after much reading and probing of Christian Science literature, I had a healing of mental anguish and turmoil. From that time forward, I knew that Science is the truth, and so to be a devoted Scientist became my goal.

While gaining a deeper and clearer understanding of God, I have had many physical healings, including those of an upset stomach, headache, sunburn, warts, and ivy poisoning. But I think I am most grateful for Christian Science as a preventive, because I have never taken a pill or had any kind of injection and have experienced very good health.
