I have had the privilege of being a student of Science for many years and have experienced many physical healings, some through my own efforts and some through the help of Christian Science practitioners. While I am grateful for healings of physical conditions, the most important thing to me is the knowledge that Truth is ever available and is applicable to all discordant conditions. I should like to relate one particular experience which brought home to me the necessity of proving evil to be unreal in our daily experience.

About five years ago, after a reorganization in my company, I was placed in a branch office. Part of my job was to improve the quality of reports and generally to instruct the staff on new methods. The resistance I met with was tremendous, and in many instances important procedures could not be established; in addition there were malicious actions, which discouraged me. I did not defend my thinking properly against the unfriendliness I was meeting and the sense of frustration I felt; so several illnesses followed.

One day at lunch I found that I could not swallow my food. When I could not eat my dinner either, I asked for Christian Science treatment from a practitioner. I recall telling the practitioner that I had a problem, and she replied, "No, my dear, you have a solution." This was helpful in releasing me from fear. I was completely free the following morning and remained so.
