When I was a child, my own...

When I was a child, my own prayerful work in applying the truths learned in the Christian Science Sunday School brought about a healing of ugly warts which covered both hands. While I was in high school, a complicated compound fracture, sustained when a horse fell on me, was beautifully healed through the steadfast support of a practitioner.

Several years ago, through the application of Christian Science, I was able to obtain a college education in spite of the strong arguments of financial lack, which would have prevented my ever progressing beyond high school. Grateful acknowledgment that God, divine Love, already has actually met our every need brought abundant supply and gave me direction at each point along the way.

As important as the financial lesson learned—that God is the source of all true supply—was the lesson concerning the source of man's intelligence. The understanding of the oneness and allness of God, divine Mind, and of man's inseparability from Mind enabled me to approach academic challenges with confidence. The declaration from II Timothy (1:7), "God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind," freed my thought before examinations and enabled me to answer with confidence and accuracy the questions before me.
