I should like to share a glorious demonstration of God's power I experienced over a year ago. A few days after I had been elected to the position of Second Reader in a branch Church of Christ, Scientist, I became completely bald on one side of my head. I did not attribute the baldness to any one particular thing, but I did know it involved a belief of opposition to the truth, something which, if not reversed and cast out, might keep me from carrying out my duty as Second Reader.

A Christian Science practitioner was called, and prayerful work was taken up immediately. In the meantime I took what I felt was a needed human footstep. I procured a hair piece to wear until my own hair grew out.

Science and Health became better known to me as I read it through and reread it. I also read all of our Leader's other writings. I prayed without ceasing. Within eight months, with the help of a practitioner and my daily, almost hourly, study of the textbook, my hair had completely grown in just as thick as it ever was, and the hair piece was of course discarded.
