I became interested in Christian Science...
I became interested in Christian Science when a practitioner was called for a member of my family. At that time I began to study Christian Science earnestly and conscientiously. I soon became aware that it was just what I needed for my own problem.
For many years I had suffered from a chronic ailment of the stomach. I consulted doctors and would have temporary relief. I asked for help from various practitioners, and there would be relief; but the complete healing did not come. However, I continued my absolute reliance on Christian Science. I ate whatever I wanted, but it was not comfortable for me to do so; and I could not always retain the food.
This went on for several years, but I never became discouraged. I knew God's law was operating, and I could trust it. One statement from "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy was my constant companion. It reads (p. 463), "A spiritual idea has not a single element of error, and this truth removes properly whatever is offensive."
