Over twenty-six years ago I was longing for health and peace of mind. I found both in the absorbing study of Christian Science.
As a child I was considered delicate and was attended by a succession of doctors. When I was about fourteen years old a family friend recommended the Christian Science Sunday School to me. I went, and I loved what I learned and used what I understood. Then I went away from home to school. During those years I accepted the world's opinions and values and finally completely denied Christian Science as the healing truth.
It is no wonder that early in married life I became greatly upset and confused. I faced medical verdicts of an internal growth and a severe sinus condition. Physicians declared that two operations were the only possible cures. I was also suffering from constipation, indigestion, and insomnia. Medicines, treatment, diet, and a sanatorium did not bring relief or health.
