It is not only my joy but my...
It is not only my joy but my privilege to have been a student of Christian Science for nearly twenty years. Through this great truth, I have received many healings, including those of periodic deafness, food poisoning, corns, chilblains, heart trouble, a dislocated toe, and many fears.
Most of these healings have been quick ones, but the healing of an overactive heart was slow.
Mrs. Eddy says in "Miscellaneous Writings" (p. 230), "Rushing around smartly is no proof of accomplishing much." This was just what I had always done. I had rushed around, walked quickly, talked quickly, worked quickly; so it was a very hard task to learn to act with more deliberation. I had the loving help of practitioners over a very long period, and although this help enabled me to go back to business, still the healing was by no means complete.
