One of my first healings in Christian Science...
One of my first healings in Christian Science was that of the effects of inhaling gas from a leaking heater in the house in which I was rooming. I felt as though I were about to pass on; so I asked the landlady to please call a Christian Science practitioner for me, and she very kindly did so. Within two hours I was not only up, but happy and free. I was grateful for this experience, because it proved to me what Christian Science can do. The landlady was amazed at this quick healing.
Another difficulty overcome was that of a severe cold. It was accomplished through my own work. At first I was unable to study, and the suggestion came to call a practitioner. Then I thought, "You too have here what the practitioner has." Also Jesus' statement came to me (John 8:32), "Ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free."
