MAN IS IDEA
Christian Science teaches that man, as idea, always lives, moves, and has his being in the infinite Mind that is God. He never can be taken out of the infinitude of God's love to be impaired, lost, afflicted, or destroyed. On page 475 of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," Mary Baker Eddy writes: "Man is idea, the image, of Love; he is not physique. He is the compound idea of God, including all right ideas."
Man as idea is an entity, spiritually formed, eternally outlined by Mind. He is as distinct, as definite and eternal as his creative Principle, God. As idea he is a unit, a complete individuality, including all right ideas essential to the progress, unfoldment, and fulfillment which Mind is continuously outlining for him.
As we begin to comprehend through the study of Christian Science that man is idea, including all right ideas, we begin to recognize that he includes the spiritual and harmonious right idea of home, the abundant and satisfying right idea of supply, the intelligently progressive right idea of activity, the complete right idea of family. We also begin to realize that every idea is characterized by qualities of good. What are these qualities and whence their source?
