Since the time I turned to Christian Science for healing many years ago, my experience has been continuously blessed. Health and abundance of good have been gained through the study of the Bible and of the writings of Mary Baker Eddy.

From childhood, I had suffered from severe headaches and would be incapacitated for days after an attack. When I was a young adult, I was also afflicted with spinal trouble caused by a fall from a horse. As a result, I finally had to give up my work as a teacher. A plaster cast was worn for some time, but was taken off by a physician, who prescribed complete rest. Because of this enforced inactivity I became depressed and melancholy.

A member of my family came to visit us. When she saw my suffering, she requested that I try Christian Science, for through this Science she had been healed of the necessity of having an operation. She sent me to a practitioner. I did not expect to be healed, for I had no faith in God; but I went obediently, like a child, just because I was asked to go.
