Several years ago, on the day...
Several years ago, on the day before Christmas, I had planned for my day's work at an industrial plant as usual. As was customary each morning, I checked the time cards to see that everyone was on time and that everyone was at his right place of work. I also had other duties to perform.
After about an hour of my daily activity, someone reported to my supervisor that I was not well. In a few minutes he came and took me to his office. He told me to sit down and rest. In about an hour the plant physician arrived and gave me an examination. His findings were diagnosed as nervous shock.
I immediately denied this false sense of man, as we are taught to do in Christian Science. This statement from Isaiah came to me at once (2:22): "Cease ye from man, whose breath is in his nostrils." I became very quiet and held on to the statement.
