Activities for the Armed Services

During the past few years, Christian Science Activities for the Armed Services in Australia has shown marked growth, In 1956 there were two Christian Science Ministers and one Christian Science Representative. Today the work is performed by a Supervisor and six Ministers. Three of these men are located in Victoria, two in New South Wales, one in South Australia, and one in Tasmania. One month in the past year over two hundred service personnel were reached by these field workers.

Recently the Supervisor visited about twenty major military installations (Navy, Army, and Air Force), as well as Headquarters of Eastern Command, located in Sydney, and Headquarters Northern Command, located in Brisbane, and held a Workshop meeting in Sydney. Eater in the year he gave a series of talks on the Armed Services Activities to several churches and societies in South Australia, New South Wales, Victoria, and more recently two talks in Tasmania. In approximately twelve months, nineteen addresses were given in five different states. Those who attended these talks found them very helpful and informative.
