THE DIVINE PATTERN

One morning a student of Christian Science was awakened out of a sound and restful sleep by this angel message: The truth that already is, let it appear! The student had fallen asleep the night before with the joyous conviction that a distressing muscular condition in one of her limbs, which had persisted for several days, was actually without reality or existence because it had no creative cause and no supporting law.

She had acknowledged that God, eternal Life, was the source of her existence; that Christ, Truth, had enabled her to demonstrate her condition of changeless perfection as, in truth, God's likeness; and that divine Love was her environment forever. Her thought became transfigured, and complete healing was immediately evident. The truths of God, good, and His image, man, had always been true; humble, spiritual reasoning had let them appear to her human consciousness.

This student's experience illustrates the practical effect of the divine pattern impressed upon human thought. The mists of fear and false belief, hiding man's ever-present harmony and perfection, will always be dispelled by this freedom-giving truth when understandingly and humbly applied to discordant conditions, be they called physical, financial, or some other name. Paul said (Rom. 12:2), "Be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God."
