Church Dedications

Note: Christian Science churches are dedicated only when free from debt.

Eagle River, Wisconsin (First Church).

At the Thanksgiving Day service on November 27, at 10.45 a.m., First Church of Christ, Scientist, Eagle River, Wisconsin, will dedicate its new edifice....

The building of the new church is the culmination of years of steady growth for Christian Scientists in the area. The group began as a Christian Science Society in 1923. At that time they met in a rented hall.

In May of 1925 they bought the Lutheran church property at Pine and Third Streets. In 1937 it was necessary for them to remodel and enlarge this building to accommodate their constantly expanding congregations.

By 1954 they had outgrown this building, and it was then that plans were laid for the new edifice....

Members of the church cordially invite all to attend their dedication service on Thanksgiving Day, and also to feel welcome at all other services, and to make use of their Reading Room.
