A Christian Science lecture was my introduction to this wonderful truth, for which I shall always be grateful. We read in Psalms (107: 20), "He sent his word, and healed them." I should like to tell how the Word of God healed me.

A lump appeared in my throat, and after some time I noticed it was growing. I became very fearful and experienced considerable pain. I asked a Christian Science practitioner to help me. She spoke to me of God and of the healing that comes to us through spiritualized consciousness. The truth pierced the lie. From that moment the healing commenced and was soon completed.

A hereditary belief of stammering which had made it impossible for me to pronounce certain words was also healed at this time through the prayerful work of the practitioner. Shortly after that I was asked to introduce the speaker at a lecture given by a branch Church of Christ, Scientist. To me it was part of the demonstration, and I articulated clearly and with freedom.
