In 1948 a testimony of mine appeared in the Sentinel. I should like to follow that up with some recent experiences.
Some years ago when I was First Reader in a branch church, I cut my right foot, and it became infected. This happened on a Wednesday. That night I was able to conduct the testimony meeting with only slight discomfort. However, by the next day the condition had become worse and was spreading. I got in touch with a Christian Science practitioner, and prayerful work was taken up for me at once.
By Friday the condition had grown so alarming that I thought it wise to alert a substitute Reader for the Sunday service. I am grateful to say that the condition began to improve on the Saturday, and I rested comfortably that night for the first time in several nights. I was at my post on Sunday. The service was a joyous occasion, and the next day I was back at my business completely free.
