I should like to express my gratitude for Christian Science. In 1923 I was healed of total paralysis. I was bedridden and unable to move any part of my body. A neighbor asked my family to try Christian Science. They agreed, and a few days later she introduced them to a practitioner who consented to help me. About five days afterward, upon awakening in the morning, I realized I was able to speak, something I had not done in months. Three months later I experienced painless childbirth, which the physicians who had previously attended me said was impossible. In seven months the healing of the paralytic condition was complete. Every trace of this false belief had disappeared, and I was able to walk normally. Soon after that I became actively employed.

The experiences of protection during the years have been many and wonderful. On one occasion we were beautifully protected during an earthquake. While the temblor lasted, my mother and I earnestly repeated "the scientific statement of being," found on page 468 of the textbook, and the Lord's Prayer, with its spiritual interpretation (ibid., pp. 16,17), several times. There was no damage to our home, and I was healed of the fear of earthquakes.

On three occasions at the passing on of loved ones I have been healed of all sense of separation. During these experiences every need was met by God, Love.
