CHURCH BUILDING

If our last nail were driven,
Construction work all done,
Our task would not be finished,
Nor would our goal be won,

For work in wood or mortar
Is building's smallest part,
And Church is built most surely
Within each member's heart.

So let us keep on building,
Nor heed Sanballat's call
To tempt us to dissension,
Or pull us from the wall,

For though we joy in progress,
Until all thought is filled
With Truth and Love triumphant
Our duty is to build!
