For many years I have been enjoying the blessings of a growing understanding of God, divine Love, as presented in Christian Science, and wish to acknowledge them. Many difficulties, such as extreme timidity, lack, influenza, pneumonia, abscessed ear, and the effects of an injury, have been overcome. Harmonious place and employment have been manifested. Frustration and a false sense of responsibility have gradually faded away, leaving in their place a large measure of quietness and peace.

I am especially grateful for an experience I had about three years ago. Returning from a Chicago suburb by bus at midday and expecting to take a train out in the evening, I planned to go immediately to the station to leave my bags, purchase a ticket, and be ready to meet a friend for dinner.

I carried two small bags and a purse. I knew the cab location; so I declined the help of a porter and stepped on the escalator, which I found to be quite narrow. When about two thirds of the way between the bus level and the waiting room floor, one of my bags caught on the side and pushed me off the step, causing me to fall to the floor below.
