Church Dedications

Note: Christian Science churches are dedicated only when free from debt.

Members of First Church of Christ, Scientist, Tucson, Arizona, will dedicate their building today at the corner of East Fifth Street and North Country Club Road .... Brief dedication ceremonies will be held at both regular services at 9.30 and 11 a.m. ....

It was in 1902 that a small group of people interested in Christian Science held their first church service in Tucson in a private home. Three years later the group had outgrown the home, and services were held in a lodge room at 50 East Congress Street.
