HELPING OUR YOUNG PEOPLE TO PROGRESS
How the Branch Church Can Help Our Young People
Two small children in Concord, New Hampshire, sitting on a carriage block, watched Mrs. Eddy daily as she drove by their home. She would smile and wave and sometimes throw a kiss. This simple daily event became one of the great experiences of their lives. I know, for I was one of those children.
More recently when visiting with one who had been close to our Leader and who later became a president of this beloved Mother Church, I asked her why she thought that we as tiny children felt such a great desire to be in Mrs. Eddy's presence each time the opportunity was offered.
"Undoubtedly," she responded, "you were seen in your right relation to Deity each time our Leader passed and in response felt overwhelmingly the great attraction of Spirit. Is it any wonder that you wanted to be present?"
