Do Not Fear, Hate, or Ignore Evildoers
In daily life we often encounter new situations, new associations, new occupations, new demands on us for the performance of some task. And we sometimes come into association with political, economic, or social systems which may or may not be agreeable to our conception of what is right or good. The way we face these situations determines to a great extent our happiness or perhaps even the state of our well-being.
In Christian Science the rule of spiritual perfection is set forth, a rule which requires us to exchange the false sense of person, organization, system, place, or thing for the true sense which each counterfeits. It is evident that no truth whatsoever underlies evil and that in badness can be found no goodness.
But if we encounter something that is to our sense disturbing or disagreeable, what shall we do? Shall we ignore it? Shall we fear it? Shall we hate it? No, we should do none of these things.
