DIRECTION BY DIVINE MIND

Spiritually minded men and women have always longed for divine guidance, and some of the momentous decisions of history have been successfully made by leaders who have been able to discern God's purpose. But to most people the need for guidance comes in the everyday demands of living.

Fortunate are those who have found that there is a scientific means of aligning thought with God and proving Isaiah's words (30:21), "Thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left."

Christian Science teaches that God is the only Mind and that man, His perfect and complete expression, is the compound idea of divine Mind, including the substance and reality of all good. In truth, each individuality is acting under Mind's direction, and this can be understood and demonstrated in present human experience. On page 254 of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," Mary Baker Eddy writes, "When we wait patiently on God and seek Truth righteously, He directs our path."
