CHRIST JESUS—THE MASTER SCIENTIST
Little is known of Christ Jesus' formal schooling, but his ministry indicates that he was indeed a true master of the Science of Christianity. When near the inception of his brief career of preaching and healing, he taught in the temple, and we read in John's Gospel (7:15), "The Jews marvelled, saying, How knoweth this man letters, having never learned?"
Jesus replied, "My doctrine is not mine, but his that sent me."
In the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," Mary Baker Eddy writes (p. 313): "Jesus of Nazareth was the most scientific man that ever trod the globe. He plunged beneath the material surface of things, and found the spiritual cause."
