I have read so many testimonies in The Christian Science Journal and Christian Science Sentinel and have received so much help and joy from reading of how others have been healed that I wish to share my own experiences, hoping that they will help and inspire anyone who may read them.

My first healing in Christian Science was that of stomach trouble. People were saying of my wife that she would soon be a young widow. Then a man told me something of Christian Science. He said that I could be healed by just reading the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, but that I could be healed quicker by getting help from a practitioner.

I purchased a copy of the textbook and started reading, but I did not get healed. One day when I was in the city I became very sick and weak. I found the address of a practitioner and called on her. She talked to me of God and of man, made in His image and likeness, and she quoted helpful, familiar passages from the Bible.
