I am increasingly grateful for the spiritual understanding of the infinity of God's goodness as taught in Christian Science. Every day brings forth some demonstration of the practicality of this Science.

One morning, as I was preparing breakfast, I struck my hand a sharp blow on the edge of the table, causing a cut about half an inch long, which resulted in discoloration and bleeding. I immediately declared firmly that under God's law there are no accidents. A line from the Christian Science textbook, Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, came to my thought (p. 92), "Until the fact concerning error—namely, its nothingness—appears, the moral demand will not be met, and the ability to make nothing of error will be wanting."

By the time I was ready for work, I had forgotten the incident. Later in the morning I noticed that the discoloration had disappeared, although a small cut was still visible. I denied the evidence and again declared the power of Truth to heal in all cases. I knew that there is no power to oppose the all-power of Love. By the time I left the office, there was no sign of a cut on my hand, and there was not even a scar to indicate where it had been.
